The Iten Company - Agents Jane Iten - Owner/Broker Jane Iten has been licensed as a Montana real estate agent since 1981, and has been personally involved in buying and selling real estate since 1968. She relocated to Montana over 30 years ago and became one of Montana’s first female outfitters and guides, hunting from her own ranch, which helped give her a background in ranch specialization. Jane’s first sale was a $2 million, 4,500 acre ranch which certainly brought focus to her career. However, she approaches all listings and sales with enthusiasm and vigor. Pristine properties bordering national forests and riparian areas with potential as recreational ranches have been her emphasis for more than 20 years. Montana is experiencing exciting growth. It is her goal to participate in its expansion, and her aim to preserve its natural beauty and wildlife habitat. Jeff Bretherton - Sales Associate Jeff Bretherton is a partner in the Iten Company with Jane Iten. After nearly 15 years participating in the acquisition and sale of spectacular ranch properties throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, Jeff joined the firm in 2008. Prior to the Iten Company, Jeff was the Vice President of Development for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He was also responsible for the creation of and implementation of the conservation buyer program while at RMEF. This program was instrumental in the identification of the very best conservation quality hunting and fishing properties and the sale of thousands of acres of those properties. With a background in trust and estate planning, Jeff is able to design transactions that maximize the financial and tax benefits to his clients. Few brokers can match Jeff’s professional experience working with buyers and sellers of large ranch holdings. He is equally comfortable presenting in a Wall Street board room as he is fixing a barbed wire fence with a ranch owner. A native of Montana, Jeff is thrilled to be raising his family in the greatest place on earth. April Hawkes - Sales Associate, MT and ID Real estate is just one of many focuses in the life of April, who is also an attorney, and with her husband owns and operates the Lone Pine & Riverside Conoco stores in Hamilton. However, April perceives her greatest accomplishment as mother to their two young daughters. Shirley Dowling - CRS, GRI A native of Montana, specifically the Bitterroot Valley, Shirley brings to the Iten Company a vast knowledge of the area, its history and an extensive wealth of real estate experience.
